What we stand for
Republicans on this ticket want the same basic things. Live within our means. Keep more of what you earn. Keep jobs and kids here. That is why we endorse this line, from the County Board to Congress.
The tax bill
Lower it. Especially property taxes that make it hard to buy a place or keep one. A family cannot raise taxes on itself. Neither should Springfield.
Jobs and kids
Make it possible to stay and work in Illinois. Paychecks should not have to leave so a family can make the numbers work.
Bills you can predict
Energy, groceries, gas, health care. Costs should not feel like a second rent. Cut waste. Remember whose money it is.
Safe communities
Back the people who keep the peace. Consequences for people who hurt their neighbors. Parents should not have to explain a place they no longer go.
Honest books
Stop the fraud. Stop the waste. Open the books so taxpayers can see where the money went. Do not grow the budget without a deep review. It will not happen overnight. You still have to start.
